WELCOME TO VANVASI KALYAN KENDRA
ABOUT US
Vanvasi Kalyan Kendra a voluntary organization to serve and engaged in all-round development of vanvasis or Janjatis (Scheduled tribes) was registered under societies registration Act in year 1969.
Vanvasi Kalyan Kendra’s main objective is to make janjatis bandhu literate, health conscious, self dependent and make them aware of their rights. To meet this objectives, the organization runs several service projects in the field of Education, Health care, Sports, Arts & Culture, Village development and self employment with total of 2569 sewa projects at 1702 places (as on 31.10.2023) in 23 districts of Jharkhand state.
HOW DOES VANVASI KALYAN KENDRA FUNCTION?
The tribes residing practically in far remote areas of forest, hills & places where accesses are very difficult. Due to so many reasons they have been sadly ignored by the society and hence remained cut off from mainstream. Jharkhand has plenty of mineral resources and dense forests, but developmental programs have not yet reached the remote tribal areas. The reasons are many. Vanvasi Kalyan Kendra has taken up this work with the help of kind hearted and generous people who are making this effort successful with their continuous and selfless financial supports. Trust, institutions, and some industrialists along with the society at large are our financial supporter hands and not the government.
To realize the sense of oneness between janjati and nagarwasi, vanyatras (Tour of vanvasi villages) are regularly conducted for people living in cities and towns. Several members of urban population later on participate in our sewa projects through volunteering and donations. We appeal to you to donate for this noble cause. Donations are exempted under 80G of Income Tax of India. For foreign donations FCRA is also active. Come and join us.
